Making the most of a difficult situation

As we deal with the stress of physical, emotional, and economic changes from the effects of Covid-19, we need to remember that, with these challenges, brings opportunity. We may think things are not going well, and we are not where we wanted to be. However, wouldn’t it be great to bounce back and be better than before?

To keep us upbeat and make the most of a difficult situation, we would like to share these wise words that resonated with us last week during a seminar. The team at Venus are certainly going to try and stick to these 5 ideas:

Keep getting up – no matter how many times we fall, we get back up.

Keep moving – continue to seek opportunities!  We love this quote from Albert Einstein ‘Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving’.  We must keep moving to bounce back better than before.

Keep learning – being curious will energise us which in turn keeps us engaged. We can go from struggle to strength by maybe learning a new language, watching a documentary, learning to play an instrument, learning to bake or trying to dance.

Keep trying – but for how long? The answer is ‘Until we succeed or until we have exhausted all possibilities. Problems can be solved by trying again!’

Keep perspective – you can choose to have a positive attitude. It is so much easier to moan and be negative, but life is 10% what happens, and 90% how we react to it.

Look for new doors to open, as every storm eventually runs out of rain!
