Having spent my early career in fast-paced creative agencies, I changed direction while bringing up my family, and discovered a new excitement working in recruitment. After several years building my recruiting skills, I took the opportunity to set up my own agency in 2014, and I’ve focused on maintaining our high standards ever since. I’m very proud of our reputation, which depends on a friendly, thorough, and professional service that consistently delivers results. We have incredibly loyal clients who often recommend us, and many candidates come to us through word of mouth; and that’s what it’s all about!
Life is always busy running a business, but keeping a good balance is very important to me. I still have a big bucket list of countries and cities I want to experience, I’m always up for an adventure, I’m a real foodie and love trying foods from different cultures. I’ve recently discovered the huge benefits of Yoga and, when I’m not in the gym, I spend as much time as I can with my family, and never miss the chance to book a long weekend away exploring new parts of the UK with my friends.
After College, I began my career in London working as a PA for a design agency who worked with some prestigious well-known brands. I then relocated from London and worked within the Sales and Marketing team for a Hospitality and Recruitment solutions provider. This is where I found my passion and interest for the industry. I secured my first job in recruitment and gained excellent training with a nationwide agency where I worked for around 7 years. I then moved on to a smaller independent agency running both the temp and perm desks.
After a successful 13-year career in recruitment, I took a break to spend time with my 2 boys, before returning to Venus in 2014 as Clare’s business partner. I absolutely love what I do and work hard to forge strong relationships with candidates and clients. I try to think outside the box and feel genuinely delighted when I place a candidate in their dream job. Working in a fast-paced team environment is exciting and I feel that being transparent and honest sets us apart from competitors. I live locally with my husband, 2 boys, chickens and dog called Leela and like to keep busy with Pilates, Boot Camp sessions and dog walking.
