As a part of their 2022 growth plans, our client is looking for an ambitious, driven Project/Events Manager to join their team in a position that will have a direct impact on the business. The company HQ is based near Farnborough, and this role will have global exposure across Europe, the US and APAC. The team is responsible for planning, overseeing, and providing input on meetings, events, and expert interactions. Their clients include some of the industry’s top 20 companies working with ground-breaking products, and the role will give you the opportunity to work alongside an international and diverse group of professionals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming requests and meeting with project teams to discuss new project requirements and timescales
  • Overseeing and managing expert interactions and meetings conducted by the business
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with key decision makers and vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with a range of industry guidelines and regulations
  • Researching, sourcing and on-boarding experts for a range of meetings, managing the associated pre- and post-event communications
  • Attending internal project meetings, monitoring revenue, reporting project progress to the SLTs
  • Overseeing venue sourcing and logistics
  • Liaising with Finance to ensure timely remuneration of all expert invoices
  • Reconciling project finances post-event and feeding back key learnings.

Key skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar project management role
  • Budget and proposal creation experience
  • A team worker with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, quick learner with a can-do attitude
  • Well-presented and happy to be client-facing
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and happy to take ownership of projects
  • Outstanding work ethic and a strong commitment to timely high-quality deliverables
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with the sector’s language and terminology
  • It would be ideal, but not essential, to have a qualification in project management, and experience in SharePoint and SugarCRM.
