Motor Insurance Team Leader

Due to continued growth, this specialist insurance business is looking for a Team Leader to join their friendly sales team in Godalming. Reporting into the Sales Manager, you’ll be actively driving the achievement of the motor sales team and their retention forecasts, targets, and plans in line with budgets set.
 
In the role you’ll:

  • Take ownership each team member’s performance, supporting, training, coaching, and motivating
  • Create an environment focused on delivering excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Monitor the compliance and quality of team members monthly, reporting on issues and breaches and providing constructive and honest feedback to help develop them
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager, Sales and Service Manager and Senior Advisors to collaboratively resolve issues, improve processes, develop, and drive performance
  • Conduct and document Quarterly 1-1s with all direct reports including mid-year review and end of year appraisal
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and reflect a positive company image in all dealings with external stakeholders and clients
  • Act as a point of reference for team member questions and assist with more complex cases and account queries when required
  • Handle all complaints in line with the agreed company procedures
  • Develop and maintain appropriate levels of skill and competence within all relevant areas
  • Proactively undertake Continuous Professional Development activity, to ensure insurance product and policy knowledge remains valid and current
  • Act as a role model to your team
  • Ensure the team is adequately resourced, absence records are updated and ‘return to work’ interviews are completed.

  • Experience in a motor insurance environment
  • Team Leader or Supervisory experience, or someone looking for the next step up in their career

  • The ability to work within strict guidelines and remain compliant

Working hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
