An exciting new position has become available in a busy Logistics team for a knowledgeable administrator. The ideal person will have experience working within an import/export/logistics/purchasing environment.
Reporting to the Export Manager, this is a varied fast paced role supporting the team with all customs and administration requirements.
The role involves:
Developing and using your knowledge of post Barest customs, duty and transport regulations for both importing and exporting to EU and non EU countries.
Developing relationships with external advisors including trade bodies, consultants, freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers to prevent problems and find solutions
The administration and tracking of shipments from factories to their destination and from distribution sites to customers
Ensuring correct payment terms have been used during the shipment process including DAP, DDP, Duty and VAT
Ensuring product declarations of conformity from suppliers are obtained and compliant with customs regulations
Assisting the sales team to quickly resolve shipping queries and offer excellent customer service.
Due to the nature of this department, the role needs someone to come in and hit the ground running. Therefore this person must have proven experience in a similar import-export role and/or a formal qualification that includes import and export logistics as well as customs requirements.
