A small, friendly data driven business in Godalming is looking for a talented Data Analyst to join their team. If you enjoy working with data, problem-solving, and helping people make informed decisions, this could be the perfect role for you.
You’ll be working across a variety of datasets, supporting both operational and commercial teams by producing reports, insights, and outputs that directly shape business decisions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of data processes and play a key part in ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
You’ll need solid SQL Server skills, good Excel knowledge, and a sharp eye for detail. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and confident working both independently and collaboratively.
They offer a hybrid setup, with 3 days in the office. You’ll join a close-knit, supportive team that values initiative, open communication, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, clean, and combine data.
• Create reports, dashboards, and data outputs to support decision-making.
• Maintain data quality through validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand and deliver requirements.
• Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR and internal policies.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong SQL Server (T-SQL) experience.
• Good working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines in a hybrid environment.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, and protection principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SSRS or SSIS.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation tools.
• Interest in data modelling or visualisation.
