A bespoke software development business based in Farnborough and Europe is looking for a Finance Analyst to join their small, friendly team. The role reports into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for Month End journals and VAT returns for UK and Spanish entities, as well as occasionally supporting the Accounts Payable Clerk. There are ongoing projects requiring some analytical skills and there may be elements of Business Partnering across the organisation to explain budget to actual variances.

This is a flexible business that aims to create an environment where people can do their best work and realise their full potential. The role is offered as a permanent full-time position with hybrid working, 1-2 days a week in the Farnborough office.
 
We’re looking for:

• Part qualified AAT, other accounting qualifications or QBE
• Proven experience posting journals with knowledge of double entry
• Experience posting entries into Sage 50 and/or Xero
• Competent skills using Excel for analysis, ideally using Pivot tables, but this is not essential
• The ability to work collaboratively at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
• A hands-on, proactive approach with an eye for detail
• Open to learning and keen for continuous improvement
• A can-do attitude with the desire to support your team as best you can.
